Coach sees similarities in both Joe Lauzon and TUF 15 hopeful Joey Proctor
For Joe Pomfret, head coach at Lauzon Mixed Martial Arts/Team Aggression in Bridgewater, the similarities between Joe Lauzon and Joey Proctor are obvious.
Lauzon walked into Pomfret’s gym when he was 17-years-old with no prior training. He grew a love for Brazilian jiu-jitsu and ended up growing into one of the best lightweights in New England and earned a shot with the UFC, facilitated by his stint on “The Ultimate Fighter 5”.

Worth the Sacrifice
The beginning of Joey Proctor’s foray into professional fighting traces to the day he and a friend scrapped with two others in his Pembroke backyard.
A high school freshman at the time, Proctor doesn’t remember what the two-on-two brawl was about. But he remembers what his friend, who was training in mixed martial arts at the time, said to him after the dust settled.
“He was like, ‘Wow, you’re a tough kid, pretty much had my back the whole time,’” Proctor said. “He said, ‘You need to come in, just try it out.’”

Proctor’s Aggression Pays Off
The Ultimate Fighter 15 cast was announced today and among the names on there is a Massachusetts native fighter, Joe Proctor from Team Aggression. He is one of the 32 fighters to fight to make it on the show and its going to be a great one. It is going to be airing Live on FX starting March 9th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
